Payroll Consultant for an Outsourced Business Services Firm

Description : Our client is a unique firm that provides a wide range of outsourced business services to small businesses and start-ups. This is an exciting and fast-paced firm with an awesome culture. The company covers everything from basic bookkeeping and tax planning to forecasting/budgets to HR, legal, and acquisition work. They are seeking a Payroll Consultant to add to their HR Solutions group as they continue to grow

Responsibilities

- Perform client activities including processing payroll, multi-state payroll and registrations, payroll tax filings and client support for payroll functions 

- Deliver exceptional service on time and on budget

- Routinely communicate with client staff within each organization on tasks relating to Payroll support, issues and deliverables

- Enter data and maintain files and records as necessary 

- Prepare documents and maintain appropriate records

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree, preferred 

- 2+ years-experience in all facets of Human Resources/Payroll

- PHR or SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM SCP, or CPP (or other relevant professional certification) preferred

- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Experience and proficiency in various industry-related software

- Ability to make accurate arithmetic calculations 

- Strong written and verbal communication skills 

- Excellent time management skills 

- Sense of humor, required!
