VP of Membership for a Well-Known Business Association

Area : Los Angeles

Description : Our client is a well-known business association. They are seeking a VP of Membership, leading a membership sales team and overseeing all aspects of the membership life-cycle including recruitment and onboarding of new members, member services, renewals, retention and operations on a national scale.

Responsibilities:

- Manage a team of 10+ professional membership executives to meet membership goals and existing member retention targets

- (Nearly obsessively) track performance-to-goal across membership growth and retention

- Hire, train, and onboard regional directors and sales managers

- Oversee strategic and operational marketing and communication, including the ongoing development ofmembership value proposition

- Develop and execute strategies to develop membership pipeline

- Ensure all sales processes are integrated and strategic objectives are met

- Cultivate and maintain an extensive knowledge of Salesforce

- Cultivate relationships with members and regional directors

- Serve as key member of organization’s leadership team

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required
 
- 10-15+ years experience in a similar sales-oriented role

- Experience with another professional membership organization, a plus, but not required

- Experience with Salesforce, highly preferred  

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Ability to attend early morning meetings and evening events

- A natural networker and “people person” as well as an inspirational leader; required!

- Creative and an ‘out of the box’ thinker and strong problem solver
