VP of Growth for an Elite Management Consultancy

Description : Our client is a management consultancy based in San Francisco that helps clients solve complex, strategic, cultural, and leadership challenges. They have led breakthrough engagements at many of the world's top companies. They approach their work through a systems-view that intentionally connects human dynamics to issues of strategy, organization, and process.

They are seeking a VP of Growth to lead their marketing and business development strategy. This leadership role will require a great deal of team development and mentorship, as well as a high-level of quality control and interaction with clients (most of whom are senior executives at large public companies). The position will play a major role in contributing to the strategy and thought leadership of the firm. 

Responsibilities:

- Participate in planning and strategy sessions as an innovative contributor

- Develop and execute upon a marketing strategy to elevate the client's voice in the market

- Lead business development and outreach team… both mentoring and managing the existing team and personally reaching out to prospective clients directly

- Advancing existing client relationships into expanded engagements through delivering outstanding results and upselling

- Develop new prospective clients who are interested in multiple facets of the firm’s offering

- Create and publish thought leadership

- Participate in client projects, helping both to manage workflow and capture meaningful insights

Qualifications:

- 10+ years experience at a top consulting firm or marketing agency, with strong interest in marketing or business development 

- MBA from a leading business school strongly preferred

- Prior strategic account sales experience required

- Creative business mind and effective problem solver, preferably with strong marketing and/or HR and/or sales consulting skill-sets

- Motivated and diligent self-starter with a track record of commercial success 

- Relationship oriented and can interact successfully with all levels of management

- Superior written and oral communication skills; ability to present to Fortune 500 C-suite with grace and confidence
