Tax Accountant for a Versatile Tax Firm

Our client is a versatile tax firm in West Los Angeles offering a wide range of services. They specialize in tax planning and compliance, accounting and audit, business valuations, business consulting, estate and succession planning, wealth management and litigation support.  Their smaller size allows them to offer highly personalized services. They are seeking a Tax Accountant to add to their growing practice.

This is a full time role which will focus heavily on tax preparation for 1-2 years with a very steep trajectory after that. 


- Provide clients with high quality consulting and compliance tax services

- Participate in IRS/FTB audits and correspondence

- Provide technical guidance in tax accounting methods in the areas of revenue and expense recognition, accounting for inventories and fixed assets, and the procedural aspects of requesting a change in method of tax accounting

- Conduct diagnostic reviews of tax accounting methods and identify issues and opportunities

- Manage projects related to information gathering and documentation with respect to tax accounting

- Identify business development opportunities for improved services to clients and to obtain additional clients


- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field, required

- 3-5 years tax/accounting experience

- CPA, preferred (or in process)

- Real estate experience, a plus

- Experience with Tax Lacerte and Accounting Engagement software, a plus

- Must be detail oriented and have excellent problem solving and communication skills

- Professional and positive demeanor with the ability to represent firm at highest level

- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
